1 Savannah - In Savannah they have lots of history and natural beauty.  Thre is art all around.  Even the streets are considered art.  Some of the streets are made of cobblestone.  There are Victorian-styled homes and old buildings that have been turned into places for you to shop and eat along a river walk.

 

2 Atlanta - You simply must visit Atlanta if you are in the state of Georgia.  It is, afterall, the capitol of Georgia.  Atlanta has plenty attractions for you to see and visit including the CNN center, the World of Coke a Cola.  At the World of Coke a Cola you get to taste flavors that have never been available to the public for sale and other flavors that are popular in other places around the world that may not be available for us to purchase in the United States.  Atlanta has the largest indoor aquarium in the world!  Atlanta is close to other cities that will have attractions like the theme park Six Flags over Georgia and stone Mountain Georgia.  

 

3.  Golden Isles of Georgia - Visiting here you will be on the coast located in a city called Brunswick.  You will have the opportunity to study the history and contributions of African Americans to the area.  Gullah Geechee Cultural Heritage Corridor, which has been designated and recognized by an act of Congress to memorialize the significant cultural and historical African-American contributions from this area.  Here you can visit beaches and islands.  For fun, you can go kayaking.  You will also get to see one of the only five lighthouses in the whole state!  

4.  Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge - If you like nature and being outside, you should visit Okefeokee National Wildlife Refuge.  Here you can explore a variety of animais in their natural habitats all while exploring where Native Americans and early settlers lived.  

5 Macon - Do you know what city is nicknamed the heart of Georgia?  No, it's not Atlanta.  It's Macon.  Here you can exlore monuments dedicated to Native Americans.  These monunuments are located near downtown Macon.  If you visit in September, they host a yearly fesitval there where they celebrate Native Americans.   People come from all over to represent native americans through art work and performances.

6.  Chattahoochee National Forest - Here you have the opportunity to visit hundreds of miles of trails.  There are camping sites for your enjoyment with streams and rivers to make your visit even more enjoyable.  If you love history, you can visit the very sight where the civil war battles were fought.  

7.  Cumberland Island National Seashore - Do you love the beach?  Visiting Cumberland Island National Seashore, you can choose to camp, rent bicycles for outdoor exercise, or take a ride on the Cumberland Queen ferry.  There is also a museum for you to visit near the dock as you wait on the ferry.

Amicalola Falls -  If you like hiking, Amicola Falls would be a great option for you and your family.  Once you end your hiking trail, you will have the opportunity to view Georgia's tallest waterfall.  You may also choose stay at campgrounds, in cottages, or a mountaintop cottage.   There are hiking trails catered for beginners or the more experienced.  

 

10.  Callaway Gardens - If you prefer a more relaxing experience when you visit Georgian then you enjy Calloway Gardens.  There is a spa located in the resort with a spa. There are lakes for fishing.  You may opt to learn about horticulture or relax on one the largest man-made beach called Robin Lake Beach.
